THE BIG
CITY CLASSIC TICKETS AVAILABLE
Edie Guida is kind enough to once again coordinate group tickets to the
4/10/2010 event, which will be the first ever event in the new
Meadowlands Giants/Jets Stadium. The 2nd Big City Classic is a slate of
three Men's - Division 1 games which will match; Hofstra vs. Delaware
(1pm), UNC vs. UVA (4pm), and Syracuse vs. Princeton (6:30pm). There are
Chatham HS alumni on teams in each game (Delaware / UNC / Syracuse). The
tickets which are presently reserved for the Chatham lacrosse community
will be in section 142. The cost of each ticket is $25. If you want to
go, please send your payment with name, address, phone number, present
2009-2010 school year grade, number of tickets and a check made out to
Edie Guida at 716 River Road, Chatham prior to February 5th.
US LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP
Please remember that your child MUST be registered with US Lacrosse in
order to play lacrosse in Chatham. Follow this
link to the membership
site. Your child will NOT be able to play if they are not registered.
CHECKING FOR CANCER
Dear Chatham Lacrosse Families,
On Saturday, April 17, the Chatham High School boy’s varsity lacrosse
team will participate in the Checking for Cancer elite lacrosse
tournament. This event supports the awareness and prevention of
testicular, colorectal and prostate cancer.
Some of you may know Mike Madura who has coached Chatham Recreation
lacrosse teams for many years. Mike is going public with his
story of having testicular cancer with
the hope that young men will take a few minutes and routinely check
themselves or remind their doctors to do so(see
www.checkingforcancer.org).
This simple action could save your life as it did for Mike.
We would like to support this cause by asking our Chatham lacrosse
families to make a small donation so that we can purchase a journal ad
for the tournament.
If you are interested in participating by making a donation, please send
your check made out to Checking for Cancer to the following
address no later than March 22, 2010.
